Anti-Exportin-4 (Exp4, XPO4, KIAA1721)

Nuclear transport receptors of karyopherin:importin-beta superfamily mediate various transport pathways between nucleus and cytoplasm. Exportin-4 is a novel mammalian member of this family. It is a RanGTP-binding protein consisting of N-terminal RanGTP-binding motif. It functions as a nuclear export receptor for eIF-5A and also might function as an export adapter in RNA export. It is also involved in nuclear export of Smad3 and regulation of Smad signaling. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Jurkat cell lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
