Anti-DEDAF (Death Effector Domain Associated Factor, APAP1)

DEDAF (death effector domain associated factor), is a 32kD protein that associates with DED-containing proteins but does not itself contain a DED. DEDAF interacts with the death effector domains of FADD, DEDD and the proforms of caspase-8 and caspase-10. It augments the formation of complexes between CD95, FADD and caspase-8 at the cell membrane and enhances apoptosis. The protein was also independently identified as RING1 and YY1 binding protein (RYBP), which was implicated in the regulation of transcription. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. A band at ~32kD was detected in human A549 cell lysates., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
