Anti-CD61 (Glycoprotein IIIb, Integrin beta3), clone 2Q800

The antibody can be used to immunoprecipate a complex of CD41 and CD61. The apparent molecular weight of the GPIIIa by SDS-PAGE in immunoprecipitaton is 105kD reduced and 90kD unreduced (prelabelled surface proteins). Ligands are fibronectin, fibrinogen, von Willebrand factor, vitronectin and thrombospondin. Residues 237-248 of GPIIIa or CD61 are critical in adhesive protein binding. The CD41/CD61 complex is also found on endothelial cells, some B cells, monocytes/macrophages and tumor cells. The monocytoid cell line U937 is highly positive. Applications: Immunoprecipitation , Immunocytochemistry (acetone fixation required) , Flow cytometry , Inhibits platelet aggregation, 10ug/ml, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
