Anti-beta-Amyloid Precursor Protein (695 amino acids) (APP), clone 6A6

There are 3 known b-APP proteins (b-APP695, b-APP751, b-APP770). The amyloid b-peptide is thought to be derived from all three precursor proteins. Evidence indicates that b-APP is present in senile plaques, extraneuronal tangles, neurous, satellite glial cells of the dorsal root, enteric and trigerminal ganglia, megakaryocytes, cardiac muscle and the pituitary and adrenal glands. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and Paraffin-embedded): 5-10ug/ml. Suitable for immunohistochemical staining of alcohol-fixed paraffin-embedded or frozen tissue sections. Other fixatives may also work following formic acid treatment., Western Blot: 0.5-1.0ug/ml, ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
