Anti-Actin (ACTA2, ACTSA, actin, alpha 2, smooth muscle, aorta, alpha-cardiac actin)

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. In vertebrates 3 main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and as mediators of internal cell motility. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Peptide ELISA: 1:4000, Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml. A band of ~45kD observed in human Duodenum lysates., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
