Anti-Synapsin I

Anti-Synapsin I antibody was prepared from monospecific neat serum. This antibody is directed against bovine synapsin I. Anti-Synapsin I is specific for the ~78kDa synapsin I protein doublet. Immunolabeling blocked by preadsorption of the antibody with the protein used to generate the antibody. Reactivity is reported agianst human, mouse and rat. Protein function: Neuronal phosphoprotein that coats synaptic vesicles, binds to the cytoskeleton, and is believed to function in the regulation of neurotransmitter release. The complex formed with NOS1 and CAPON proteins is necessary for specific nitric-oxid functions at a presynaptic level. [The UniProt Consortium]
