Anti-Synapsin I

Anti-Synapsin I antibody is directed against bovine Synapsin I. The antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. Immunolabeling blocked by preadsorption of antibody with the protein used to generate the antibody. Reactivity is expected from human, mouse and rat. Cross reactivity from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Neuronal phosphoprotein that coats synaptic vesicles, binds to the cytoskeleton, and is believed to function in the regulation of neurotransmitter release. The complex formed with NOS1 and CAPON proteins is necessary for specific nitric-oxid functions at a presynaptic level. [The UniProt Consortium]
