Vincristine is a vinca alkaloid isolated from Catharanthus that exhibits immunosuppressive and anticancer chemotherapeutic activities. Vincristine is an anti-mitotic that binds tubulin and inhibits microtubule polymerization, it is clinically used to treat lymphomas and leukemias and is one component of the CHOP chemotherapy cocktail. In melanoma cells, vincristine increases activation of AMPK and inhibition of mTORC1 signaling.
