Anti-PTEN

PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog) was identified as a tumor suppressor that is mutated in a large number of cancers at high frequency. This protein is a phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase. It contains a tensin like domain as well as a catalytic domain similar to that of the dual specificity protein tyrosine phosphatases. Unlike most of the protein tyrosine phosphatases, this protein preferentially dephosphorylates phosphoinositide substrates. It negatively regulates intracellular levels of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate in cells and functions as a tumor suppressor by negatively regulating AKT/PKB signaling pathway. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000, Flow cytometry: 1:200-1:400, mmunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:500-1:2,000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
