O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc), is a member of the O-GlcNAc transferase family. O-GlcNAc is a posttranslational modification characterized by the attachment of N-acetylglucosamine to specific serine/threonine hydroxyl groups. It plays an important role in nutrient sensing, gene expression, and protein degradation. O-GlcNAc is widely expressed in the pancreas and is present in smaller amounts in skeletal muscle, heart, brain and placenta. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HEK293 cell lysate. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
