Anti-GST pi

Anti-GST pi antibody is directed against human GST pi protein.  The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification.  A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from human and mouse based on homology for the immunogen sequence.  Cross reactivity with GST pi from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles. Regulates negatively CDK5 activity via p25/p35 translocation to prevent neurodegeneration. [The UniProt Consortium]
