Anti-Glyceraldehyde 3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (GAPDH, GAPD, G3PD, G3PDH, CDABP0047, HGNC:4141, MGC88

GAPDH is a major glycolytic enzyme within the cytosol, which is also involved in a number of intracellular processes including membrane fusion, microtubule bundling, phosphotransferase, DNA replication and DNA repair. Recent studies have suggested that GAPDH may be involved in the cellular phenotype of age-related neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Huntington's disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml. Requires antigen retrival using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6 is recommended., Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml. Detects a band of ~40kD in HeLa cell lysates, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Histology Positive Control Tissue: Human liver tissue, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
