Anti-CREB1 (Cyclic AMP-responsive Element-binding Protein 1, CREB-1, cAMP-responsive Element-binding

CREB is a transcription factor which binds to cyclic AMP response elements (CRE's), and is induced by phosphoyrlation on the part of PKA, CaM K IV, and other protein kinases. Activated CREB will dimerize, bind to DNA, and recruit histone acetyl transferases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot (transfected lysate): 1-5ug/ml detects a band at ~37kD using CREB1 transfected 293T lysate, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1ug/ml using human kidney tissue, ELISA: 1-5ug/ml using recombinant protein. The detection limit for recombinant GST tagged CREB1 is ~1ng/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
