Anti-Angiotensinogen (AGT, ANHU, SERPINA8)

Angiotensinogen, a member of the serpin family (Serpin A8), is synthesized in liver and cleaved by renin to produce angiotensin I. This is further processed by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to yield angiotensin II, a key blood pressure regulator. The amino acid sequence of human AGT is 99%, 68%, 64%, and 61% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, rat, and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. The detection limit is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions., Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. the detection limit is ~3ng/well, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
