Byakangelicol

Byakangelicol is a furanocoumarin that has been found in A. dahurica and has diverse biological activities. It inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE, IC50s = 46.3 and 45.2 µM, respectively). Byakangelicol inhibits LPS-induced production of nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 cells (IC50 = 16.9 µg/ml) and IL-1beta-induced COX-2 activity and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) release in A549 cells when used at concentrations ranging from 10 to 50 µM.
