NVP-LCQ195 is an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). It selectively inhibits Cdk5/p25, Cdk5/p35, Cdk1/cyclin B, Cdk2/cyclin A, and Cdk2/cyclin E complexes (IC50s = 1, 1, 2, 2, and 5 nM, respectively) over Cdk9/cyclin T1, Cdk3/cyclin E, Cdk6/cyclin D3, and Cdk7/cyclin H complexes (IC50s = 15, 42, 187, and 3,564 nM, respectively). NVP-LCQ195 decreases viability in a panel of 25 multiple myeloma cells (EC50s = 0.761-2. µM).
