An NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor, inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome by 51.8% at 10 µM, inhibits caspase 1 (Ki = 10.6 µM), active against S. aureus, C. diphtheriae, K. pneumoniae, and E. coli, (MICs = 18, 18, 18, and 16 µg/ml, respectively) and the fungus C. albicans (MIC = 13 µg/ml), inhibits ATP-induced pyroptosis in PMA-differentiated and LPS-stimulated THP-1 cells at 10 µM, induces cytotoxicity in HK-2 cells (IC50 = 67 µM), inhibits Aß42-induced increases in IL-1ß, IL-18, TNF-a, and GSDMD in SH-SY5Y cells at 10 µM.
