Anti-THBD (Thrombomodulin, CD141, Fetomodulin, THRM, TM) (Biotin)

Thrombomodulin, also known as THBD, CD141 and BDCA-3, is an endothelial-specific type I membrane receptor that inhibits coagulation and fibrinolysis. It functions primarily as a cell surface receptor and an essential cofactor for active thrombin, resulting in the activation of protein C, which in turn degrades clotting factors Va and VIIIa. Mutations in this gene can cause inherited thrombophilia. The amino acid sequence of human Thrombomodulin is 98% and 68%aa identical to that of chimpanzee and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA detection: 0.5-2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Thrombomodulin extracellular domain, Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
