Anti-SMAD5

Transcriptional modulator activated by BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) type 1 receptor kinase. SMAD5 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD). SMAD5 is required for normal development of the cardiovascular system in vivo, lack of the SMAD5 gene results in apoptosis of cardiac myocytes. 3 Upregulation of SMAD5 has been reported to mediate apoptosis of gastric epithelial cells induced by Helicobacter pylori infection. Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:10,000, Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:1000, Flow Cytometry: 1:200-1:400, Immunocytochemistry: 1:200-1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
