The proteasome has an ATP-dependent proteolytic activity. Mediates the lipopolysaccharide-induced signal transduction in the macrophage proteasome. Might be involved in the anti-inflammatory response of macrophages during the interaction with C.albicans heat-inactivated cells. [The UniProt Consortium]
