Anti-PRELP, ID (PRELP, SLRR2A, Prolargin, Proline-arginine-rich end leucine-rich repeat protein)

PRELP is a leucine-rich repeat protein present in connective tissue extracellular matrix. This protein functions as a molecule anchoring basement membranes to the underlying connective tissue. This protein has been shown to bind type I collagen to basement membranes and type II collagen to cartilage. It also binds the basement membrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan perlecan. This protein is suggested to be involved in the pathogenesis of Hutchinson-Gilford progeria (HGP), which is reported to lack the binding of collagen in basement membranes and cartilage. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications have not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
