Anti-Plexin A1

Plexin A1 is an ~200kD type I transmembrane member of the Plexin family of Semaphorin signal transducers. It consists of a 1218aa extracellular domain with one Sema domain, a spacer, and four tandem IPT/TIG domains, a 21aa transmembrane segment, and a 631aa cytoplasmic domain. Plexin A1 binds the transmembrane Semaphorin 6D directly and binds the Class 3 secreted Semaphorins indirectly via Neuropilin-1 and -2. It mediates cytoskeletal remodeling that results in cell migration and axon repulsion. Within aa964-1152 (in the IPT/TIG region), human Plexin A1 shares 93aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Plexin A1. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
