Anti-PAK2, NT (p21 Activated Kinase 2, p21-activated Kinase 2, p21(CDKN1A)-activated Kinase 2, PAK-2

PAK2, a member of the STE20 subfamily of Ser/Thr protein kinases, acts on a variety of targets. It phosphorylates ribosomal protein S6, histone H4 and myelin basic protein. PAK2 interacts tightly with GTP-bound but not GDP-bound CDC42/p21 and RAC1. Expression is ubiquitous, with higher levels seen in skeletal muscle, ovary, thymus and spleen. PAK2 is autophosphorylated when activated by CDC42/p21. The protein structure contains 1 CRIB domain. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
