Anti-NK1.1 (CD161, CLEC5B, KLRB1, KLRB-1C, Klrb1c, Ly59, NKR, NKRP1, NKRP1A)

KLRB1C, also known as NK1.1, CD161c, Ly-55, and NKR-P1c, is a 28kD type 2 transmembrane protein in the killer cell lectin-like receptor family. CD161 is expressed as a disulfide-linked homodimer on the surface of NK cells and subpopulations of NKT, CD4+, CD8+, and gamma/delta T cells. Its cross-linking on NK cells induces cytolytic activity, and on CD4 cells it promotes IgE production and the expansion of Th2 responses. Mature mouse CD161 consists of a 45 amino acid (aa) cytoplasmic domain, a 21aa transmembrane segment, and a 157aa extracellular domain with one C-type lectin domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
