NSE (neuron specific enolase), also known as Enolase 2 (ENO2), is found in elevated concentrations in plasma in certain neoplasias. The enolases catalyze the interconversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the glycolytic pathway. ENO2 gene contains 12 exons distributed over 9,213 nucleotides. Human neurone-specific enolase is mapped to chromosome 12p13. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1-2ug/ml Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
