Anti-NCAM1 (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1, CD56, N-CAM 140, NCAM, NCAM1)

Neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) is a glycoprotein with 5 extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains followed by two fibronectin type III repeats. NCAM mediates cell-cell adhesion in neural cells as well as a variety of other cell types. Many isoforms are produced from the alternate splicing of a single gene with 26 exons. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml , Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1ug/ml. Heat mediated antigen retrieval is recommended. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
