Anti-MSX1 (Msh Homeobox Homology 1, HOX7, HYD1, OFC5)

MSX1 (Msh homeobox homology 1) is a member of the muscle segment homoebox gene family. MSX1 is involved in limb­pattern formation, craniofacial development, odontogenesis, and tumor growth inhibition. MSX1 functions as a transcriptional repressor. MSX1 has been shown to interact with the linker histone, H1B, and repress transcription of the MyoD promoter. Chromosomal abnormalities involving MSX1 have been associated with the Wolf­Hirschhorn syndrome characterized by heart defects and mental retardation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 8­25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
