Anti-MSH2, ID (MSH2, DNA mismatch repair protein Msh2, MutS protein homolog 2)

MSH2 was identified as a locus frequently mutated in hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC). When cloned, it was discovered to be a human homolog of the E. coli mismatch repair gene mutS, consistent with the characteristic alterations in microsatellite sequences (RER+ phenotype) found in HNPCC. [provided by RefSeq]. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50, Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
