Anti-Matriptase (ST14, SNC19, SNC-19, Epitin, Prostamin, TADG-15, MT-SP1, MTSP1, PRSS14, HAI)

Matriptase, also called MT-SP1, TADG-15 and ST14, is a member of the type II transmembrane serine protease family and is expressed on most human epithelia as an 80-90kD acell surface glycoprotein. Processing, activation and shedding of the C-terminal 26kD peptidase S1 domain is complex and requires coexpression with its inhibitor, HAI-1. Matriptase activity is critical to epidermal barrier formation. It is overexpressed in a variety carcinomas. Human and mouse matriptase share 86% aa identity within the peptidase S1 domain. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells using human prostate cancer cell line fixed with paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with saponin., Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
