Anti-Macrophage, Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 (MCP1, CCL2, JE), clone 6A595

MCP-1 is a member of the CC subfamily of chemokines. MCP-1 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine which acts both as an activation factor and as chemokine for monocytic cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Neutralization of human MCP-1 in bio-assays. Furthermore the antibody can be used to stain cells containing MCP-1 in frozen sections as well as in cell cultured on cover slips. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistology: 1:10, Western Blot: 1:10, For neutralization of biological activity dilutions have to be made according to the amounts of MCP-1 to be inactivated. Before use in biological assays, the product must be filter sterilized and depending on the concentration to be used dialyzed against culture medium to remove the sodium azide added. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
