Anti-Lysosome Associated Membrane Protein 2 (LAMP 2, Igp2, Igp110, CD107b, LAMP2C, LAMPB, Lysosome A

Mac-3 is a 110kD type I membrane glycoprotein, also known as CD107b and LAMP-2. It is expressed on lysosomal membranes and the plasma membrane of macrophages and some myeloid cell lines. In the bone marrow, few cells display Mac-3 antigen on the surface, but a large proportion express Mac-3 in the cytoplasm. CD107b has been identified as a ligand for galaptin, an S-type lectin present in the extracellular matrix. Mac-3/CD107b is upregulated in some tumors and increased expression has been correlated with enhanced metastatic potential. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: <1ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volume, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
