Anti-Interleukin 2 (IL-2) (PE)

IL-2 is a 153 amino acid secreted cytokine produced by T-cells following antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. It plays a crucial role in T-cell proliferation and immune regulation. Interleukin-2, clone 3H2514 has been sucessfully used for the detection and measurement of native and recombinant human IL-2 using flow cytometry and ELISA where it acts as the capture reagent in a very sensitive assay for IL-2 determination in human samples. IL-2 is used extensively for the treatment of patients with metastatic melanoma (Atkins et al. 1999) and renal cancer with reproducible benificial effects (Rosenberg 2014). Monitoring of IL-2 levels in such patients is required for optimization of treatment regimens (Lotze et al. 1986). This antibody is also useful for evaluating levels of IL-2 in patients with autoimmune conditions including lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis where there may be an impaired ability to produce IL-2 (Talal et al. 1983). , Applications:, Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Neat, use 10ul label 1x10e6 cells in 100ul. Membrane permeabilization is required., Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4°C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
