Anti-IL-6

Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a cytokine produced primarily by stimulated monocytes, fibroblasts and epithelial cells. It has a wide variety of biological functions through activating a cellsurface signaling assembly composed of IL6, IL6RA, and the shared signaling receptor gp130. The cytokine plays an essential role in the final differentiation of b-cells into Igsecreting cells, and induces myeloma, plasmacytoma growth, nerve cells differentiations. In addition, IL-6 is an important regulator of acute phase reaction. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000., ELISA: Suggested dilution 1:10,000., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
