GAP43 is expressed by developing and regenerating neurons, and to a lesser extent, reactive glial cells.It is used widely to specifically label injured neurons and to score neuronal regeneration. GAP43 is also a neuronal growth cone protein thought to be involved in pathfinding. GAP43 is considered to be a crucial component of an effective regenerative response in the nervous system. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1-2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
