Anti-Fibrinogen-like Protein 2 (FGL2, Fibrinogen-like 2, Fibroleukin, pT49, T49)

Fibrinogen-like Protein 2 (FGL2, Fibroleukin) is a 64-70kD secreted glycoprotein of the fibrinogen-like superfamily. It is produced by macrophages and endothelial cells in response to inflammatory mediators, T cells and fetal trophoblast cells. FGL2 has prothrombinase activity, promotes immune-mediated thrombosis and functions in transplant rejection and infection-related abortion. Mature human FGL2 gene is a 416aa protein with a coiled-coil region and a fibronectin C-terminal homology domain or FRED. Coiled-coil dimers are covalently linked to form a tetrameric 260-280aa FGL2 complex. Mature human FGL2 shares 79% aa identity with mouse FGL2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml using human peripheral lood mononuclear cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
