Anti-Fes (homolog of feline sarcoma oncogene)

Fes (homolog of feline sarcoma oncogene), also called c-Fes or c-Fps, is a 93kD protein within subgroup IV of the non-receptor tyrosine kinase family. It is expressed in myeloid hematopoietic cells, vascular endothelium and neurons, and regulates cell adhesion and extravasation. The 822 aa human Fes contains F-BAR (aa7-239), SH2 (aa460-549) and kinase (aa561-822) domains. The F-BAR domain contains coiled-coil homo-oligomerization and microtubule binding sequences. Within the region used as immunogen, human Fes shares 85% and 87% aa identity with mouse and rat Fes, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
