Protein DJ-1 has many roles including protecting cells against oxidative stress and cell death (Ref: SwissProt). Mutations in the DJ-1 gene have been associated with rare forms of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:1000, Western Blot: 1:10,000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000 , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
