Anti-Cytokeratin 8

Cytokeratin 8, also known as CK8, KRT8, K8. Entrez Protein NP_002264. It is a member of the type II keratin family.Type I and type II keratins heteropolymerize to form intermediate-sized filaments in the cytoplasm of epithelial cells.It typically dimerizes with keratin 18 to form an intermediate filament in simple single-layered epithelial cells. This protein plays a role in maintaining cellular structural integrity and also functions in signal transduction and cellular differentiation. Mutations in this gene cause cryptogenic cirrhosis. Applications: Western Bloting: 1:500-1:2000., Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:1000., Immunofluorescence: 1:200-1:1000., ELISA: Suggested dilution 1:10000., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
