Anti-Cysteine-rich, Angiogenic Inducer 61 (CYR61, IGFBP-10, CCN1)

Cyr61 (Cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61), also known as IGFBP-10 and CCN1, is a 42kD secreted matrix- and cell-associated glycoprotein that regulates the growth and adhesion of vascular endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and monocytes. Cyr61 interacts with cells that express integrins avb3, avb5, amb5 and a6b1. Cyr61 is cleaved by plasmin within its VWF domain which generates an N-terminal fragment that is not associated with the matrix but retains the ability to induce endothelial cell migration. Cyr61 induces VEGF upregulation, angiogenesis, and tumorigenesis. Mature human Cyr61 shares 93% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat Cyr61. Cyr61 expression appears to be unregulated in breast cancer cells with high levels of heregulin. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
