Anti-CHD1 (CHD1, CHD-1, Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 1, ATP-dependent Helicase CHD1)

CHD1 (Chromohelicase/ATPase DNA-binding protein 1) is a 200-205kD member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family of proteins. It is an ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factor that helps maintain chromatin in a transcriptionally active state. In embryonic stem cells, CHD1 associates with the promoters of active genes, a condition that is associated with open chromatin and pluripotency. Human CHD1 is 1710aa in length. It contains two Ser-rich regions (aa1-70 and 117-137), two Chromo (chromatin-organizer-modifer) domains (aa272-364 and 389-452), a SNF2 family N-terminal domain (aa484-763) and a C-terminal helicase domain (aa792-943). There are at least 30 Ser/Thr phosphorylation sites. Over aa1531-1710, human CHD1 shares 92% aa identity with mouse CHD1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
