Anti-CD6 (FLJ44171, T12, T-Cell Differentiation Antigen CD6, Tp120, TP120)

Human CD6 is expressed on peripheral blood T cells, most thymocytes and a subset of B cells. CD6 is similar to CD5 and contains three cysteine-rich domains with structural homology to the macrophage scavenger receptor. CD6 is involved in T cell activation and its ligand was recently identified. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Fixed cells or tissues, Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured HUT 78 human tumor cells were washed and incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of product at the above concentration. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 50ul of as described above, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed using a FACS Calibur. A net 31% population of the cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.87 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
