Human CD44 molecules appear to serve as lymphocyte adhesion molecules with numerous functions in extracellular matrix binding, cell migration, hemopoisis, and lymphocyte homing. Antibody blocks binding of HA to CD44. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood cells were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2398-06F at 5ug/ml., 2. Cells were washed twice and incubated with secondary reagent S7973-88P, Streptavidin/R-Phycoerythrin, after which they were washed three times fixed and analyzed using a FACS. , 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.05 log10 fluorescent units when compared to I1904-78R2 IgG1/biotin Murine Negative Control at a similar concentration. , 4. This shift was 97% blocked when cells were preincubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/m lC2398-06E, CD44 (BU75). Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
