Anti-CD34

Anti-CD34 antibody is directed against human CD34 protein.  The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification.  A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from human, mouse, and rat based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence.  Cross reactivity with CD34 from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. [The UniProt Consortium]
