Anti-Calponin (Basic calponin, Calponin 1, Calponin H1 smooth muscle, Calponin1, Calponins basic, CN

Calponin is a thin filament associated protein that binds calmodulin, actin and tropomyosin. The multi-gene family of calponins includes calponin 1 (CNN1), 2 (CNN2) and 3 (CNN3). CNN1 is expressed in smooth muscle and tissues containing significant amounts of smooth muscle. This antibody is predicted to detect all three forms of calponin. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.25-0.5ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (formalin and paraffin): 0.5-1.0ug/ml, Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS to concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
