Protein function: Inhibits calcium-dependent inactivation of L-type calcium channel and shifts voltage dependence of activation to more depolarized membrane potentials. Involved in the transmission of light signals. May positively regulate neurotransmitter vesicle endocytosis and exocytosis in a salt-dependent manner.
