Anti-BRCA1 (Breast Cancer Antigen, Early Onset Breast Ovarian Cancer Susceptibility Protein 1)

The novel BRCA1 protein's epitope, SSKKQKRSHK, was mapped to the cytoplasm of MCF-7 cells. munohistochemistry analysis showed that the antigen epitope exhibited positive expression in 65% of breast cancer specimens. Its expression is associated with characteristics that are associated with prognosis of breast cancer, and its sera antibody level may be helpful for breast cancer diagnosis. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%) aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
