Anti-APOA1, NT (Apolipoprotein A-I, Apo-AI, ApoA-I, Apolipoprotein A1, Apolipoprotein A-I(1-242))

Apolipoprotein A-I, is the major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL) in plasma. APOA1 promotes cholesterol efflux from tissues to the liver for excretion, and it is a cofactor for lecithin cholesterolacyltransferase (LCAT) which is responsible for the formation of most plasma cholesteryl esters. Defects in the APOA1 gene are associated with HDL deficiencies, including Tangier disease, and with systemic non-neuropathic amyloidosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:50-1:100, Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
