Anti-Ankyrin repeat and SOCs box-containing protein (Asb-3)

The ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (Asb) protein family is comprised of members which each contain "SOCS boxes" but differ from other families of protein in the motifs they contain upstream of the SOCS box(1). SOCS boxes are carboxy-terminal regions of homology found in the suppressor of cytokine signaling family of proteins. The box region is thought to be the point of interaction between SOCS proteins and E3 ubiquitin ligases. Applications: Western blot, positive control: human spleen whole cell lysate , Recommended Dilution: Western blot: 1:500-1:1000 , Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
