VEGF164 Recombinant (Mouse)

Recombinant mouse VEGF164, partial length encompassing amino acids 27-190. This construct is tag-free and was affinity purified. VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is a mitogen and angiogenic factor. It is crucial for vascular development, and it has been linked to macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other disorders. It exists as three murine variants: 120-, 164 and 188 amino acid variants. VEFG has two receptors with tyrosine kinase function: VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2. VEGF164 seems to have higher potency in terms of triggering inflammation processes.
