IL-1 alpha, mouse recombinant

IL-1 alpha (IL-1alpha, IL-1F1) is a member of the interleukin 1 family of cytokines. IL-1 alpha is an inflammatory cytokine active in the initiation of the inflammatory reaction and in driving Th1 and Th17 inflammatory responses. Mouse IL-1 alpha Recombinant Protein is purified interleukin-1 alpha cytokine produced in yeast. Protein function: Produced by activated macrophages, IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.
